I know many women find themselves at a stall with their training especially when working a full-time job, raising a family or simply getting involved with other time-consuming tasks. Many women don't have control over the hours they work and find it impossible to allocate 1 hour of personal time to go to the gym. I wanted to share a very effective style of exercise that I have extensively explored and would like to share with other women who find themselves in rut when it comes to physical activity.
Recently, I have explored tabata and high intensity interval training (HIIT). These 2 styles of training have allowed me to sneak in a 20 minute training session in the comfort of my own home. I love tabata and HIIT for the reason being that each exercise consists of aerobic and strength components which allows me to get in 20 minutes of cardio and strength training at the same time!
Some of the basic equipment needed to perform the tabata and HIIT exercises include: ab mat/yoga mat, one (or more) pair of dumbbells, mini-bands.
I have been pleased with this equipment so far, and therefore I have linked the pages where you can purchase your own set of equipment:

Below you will also find that I have linked 2 of my favourite go-to workouts for both tabata and HIIT:

Hi Allison, thanks so much for your suggestion. I am familiar with HIIT, but can you tell me a little bit more about tabata? I would be interested to try this style of training as I hear that it's effective and gives great results!
